FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Hino Trucks & Miller Industries Make A Difference For Recovery Company
December 11, 2020
Orlando, FL - The small town of Oliver Springs, Tennessee (population 3,500) had some big news when one of its businesses, Appalachian Recovery, became the winner of a new Hino Trucks model 258LP with a Miller Industries car carrier. The truck is part of a raffle that Hino Trucks and Miller Industries have supported for over ten years for the Professional Wreckers of Florida (PWOF) Education and Legislation Programs.
“Although the raffle was delayed a few months due to Covid restrictions, there has never been a better time to support the towing community,” said Dan Margelli District Sales Manager for Hino Trucks - and the person who pulled the winning ticket! “These towers are on the roads whatever time of day they are needed, and it’s great to see someone benefit from this event.”
The owner of Appalachian Recovery, Jeff Denton had this to say about winning this truck, “We have been floating since we heard the news – is this real?” said owner Jeff Denton. “We are a small ‘mom and pop’ operation and our main business has been repossession. A few years ago, we decided to add towing and roadside assistance. However, with just one truck we have not been able to grow in that area of our business like we want.”
Denton continued, “Most all of the trucks we have previously owned have been Miller Industries products. It's hard not to swerve off the road when passing by the “Candy Store” (aka Miller Industries facility) in Ooltewah, TN. This will be my first experience operating a Hino, and adding this truck will allow us to service our customers at an all new level. This is a game changer!”
Maneuverability, fuel economy and outstanding visibility make the low profile 258 and Century car carrier combination a preferred choice for tow recovery professionals nationwide. “Miller Industries is proud to partner with Hino Trucks on this each year supporting the PWOF’s educational and legislative efforts to better the towing & recovery industry. Obviously this year was unique but it did allow us to the opportunity to deliver the truck to the winners here at the corporate office in Chattanooga, something that we have not been able to do in the past,” said Kipp Felice, Vice President - Marketing & Business Solutions for Miller Industries.
